430-MW Kelso Solar Project Begins Commercial Operation in Missouri

Arevon Energy, headquartered in Scottsdale, has officially launched commercial operations of the 430-MW Kelso Solar Project in Scott County. The project represents an investment of more than $500 million and marks the company’s first large-scale solar facility in the state.

According to project officials, the Kelso Solar installation will increase Missouri’s operational solar generation capacity by nearly 50%, strengthening the region’s renewable energy supply and supporting the transition toward cleaner electricity generation.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on March 3, attended by company executives, local leaders, and community representatives. In addition to providing utility-scale solar power, the project has supported several community initiatives in Scott County, including funding for schools, public services, and local development programs.

Arevon Energy currently owns and operates more than 6 GW of solar and energy storage projects across 18 U.S. states, with continued investments in renewable energy infrastructure across the Midwest.

Large-scale projects such as the Kelso Solar facility demonstrate the growing role of solar power plants, clean energy investment, and sustainable power systems in modern electricity networks. Many developing countries aspire to implement similar renewable energy systems to strengthen their national power grids, energy security, and sustainable development goals.
